Walking around downtown the other day we bumped into this weird protest. It was fairly organized, with a police escort and everything. The focus of the demonstration (which wasn’t extremely large, either) seemed a bit lost. Against Bush, Israel, the Dutch government, globalisation, racism… basically everyone with some sort of cause was there. At the front of the mass of people was this masked Bush figure and his prisoner, who would get beaten on every once in a while. Makes me wonder how they decided who would play Bush and who would play the prisoner.
