Tuschinski theatre

The Tuschinski theatre is the only nice cinema complex in Amsterdam. Built in 1921 and completely restored to its original glory a few years ago, it now again is home to the biggest premieres where all the ‘famous’ people show up to talk through a movie they’re supposed to be watching.

When you’re not at a premier it’s still a great place to see a movie though. The main hall (in the photo) has great lighting that fades out extremely slowly before the movie starts. More on this tomorrow.
