Bike parking July 18, 2004

People in Amsterdam will park their bike wherever it can be chained to something solid. Some people leave their heavy locks behind so that they don’t need to drag it around all over town. This one is chained to an old gas or electricity pipe. GEB is the rather ancient name of the local energy company, from when it was still owned by the state.

this is deceptively simple: so much to see!
(and isn’t it sad? i could fill a whole gallery, i think, with images of bicycle parts..)
