Advanced navigation technology

I figured hot air balloon pilots these days would have all sorts of smart gadgets like GPS so they’d know exactly where they were going. As it turns out, I was wrong. Armed with a radio, a small map and a keen eye for road signs they rise up and see where the wind takes them. Finding a proper landing spot is also a bit basic: just graze slowly over fields and then yell to a passing farmer if it would be OK if you were to land right there. Good thing we were in the hands of professionals…
