Boy in the 'hood (with sister)

Some more impressions from the aforementioned ‘hood. After getting home from work today I went out to take a photo of a Laser quote right around the corner from our house that M. had spotted. Walking back, a kid from the massive family across the street who was hanging out the window (as per usual) yelled to me saying I should take his photo. I raised my camera to oblige, but he urged me to wait a moment. When he re-appeared, he had his sister firmly stuck under his arm and posed with a hand signal that must mean something very cool in his world. His sister did not seem to share his enthusiasm, though.

The boy wanted to see the photo and asked me to turn the camera around so he could see it from the third floor up. After I explained he really needed to come down to see it, he and his sister ran down the stairs and approved the photo. Since the boy wanted his photo taken so badly (for fame and fortune, I’m sure), the least I could do was put it up today and give him some publicity.
