Well, tomorrow (as mentioned in the previous post) turned out to be a bit later because of Windows. Apparently, super-duper new hardware is a bit too complicated for XP, so it does not want to install nicely. Of course, it doesn’t tell you anything is wrong, your only hint being that everything is ridiculously slow. Grr. I had to use a floppy, a FLOPPY fer chrissakes, to get it to run. It’s nearly 2005 and we’re using FLOPPIES to get our newest hardware going. XP wouldn’t accept anything else at all, it had to be a floppy on drive A:. In the age of USB keys, bootable CD-ROM’s and whatnot that’s really quite silly.
