The holy corner

You always end up in interesting places when showing tourists around places that you thought you already knew. In Hoorn, we went into this church to see how we actually have some old buildings, as opposed to more recently developed countries. The odd thing was that most of it was blocked off, even though it was a Sunday. These days, apparently, they don’t get a lot of people there any more except when there are major events. For normal Sunday mass all they have is this little corner with cheap plastic seats. I can see some appeal in going to church to witness this major event and all that, but just having three people in the corner is just lame.

Ah well, it makes pretty pictures I suppose.
