Staring contest with a dog July 31, 2005
This was definitely the most freaky dog we saw yesterday (and we saw loads). All dogs do at least one of the following: bark, run around excitedly, run away scared, sleep, try to jump out of their cage. This guy did nothing but stare. He’d just walk up to the bars and stare you down. I guess he wasn’t really an albino, but still, he was a weirdo.
I never got a photo of the massive short-haired Saint Bernard who scared the living crap out of me when he started barking while I was petting its head. Its head, which was about twice the size of my own. It was just insanely massive. Fortunately it was only visiting while its owner was away on vacation.

(could be because he seems to have some bull terrier in him – something about his eyes and forehead – and bull terriers are my very favourite.)
Hm, he might not look it from this angle, but he’s a big boy. I see what you’re saying about the terrier look, but if there was any terrier in there it was certainly only in the face… :)

We were actually looking for my mom. Today she’s going to look at the dog we think is perfect for her, so hopefully she’ll like it!
