I have no idea what this is referring to, but I noticed it on a post in Glasgow. There wasn’t anything around there it could’ve been referring to, as far as I could tell.

The phrase ‘Aw naw’ I started in the Channel Isles working for Jersey Steel. For every mistake my mates made, they were awarded the ‘AW NAW’ award. This was a fabricated trophy my wee Australian apprentice(Brett) made - only thing he got right- God love him Needless to say, I was never presented with this award, cos, I’m perfect. Ha.
