This is so Amsterdam. Just chilling out in front a bookstore, in the (occassional bit of) sun. The Jordaan is a great neighborhood. I just wish I could afford to live there…

I couldn’t be arsed living there, what with the small and old houses, in the midst of all the tourists and junks and no parking space with a rent no honest person can afford…..rather you then me, matey :-)
Still, it’s a nice neighbourhood to walk through…
I love shots like this. They’re a dime a dozen, but I can look at them endlessly. This is the Hazenstraat looking towards the Elandsgracht.
Identifying elements: La Festa (good, cheap pizza, but my data sampling is out of date) and Saarein. You will some day be able to date the picture by the fact that this is one of the first streets they did without the Amsterdammertjes, but you can already see that the bricks are shifting around.
