Sometimes when you listen to someone’s music and see them perform you start feeling a bond with them, a sort of understanding of what they’re about. Or so you think, until you meet them in person and realize you have nothing to say, besides maybe describing what their music means to you. Out of this frustrating experience a project was born: let the artist tag himself, give him a chance to say whatever is on his mind right there and then. It’s very confrontational - these people are not prepared and explaining what I expect from them is difficult (I expect very little, it’s open to interpretation). This very little information, coupled with the weird life of touring and often the after-effects of jetlag make some very weird things come out. This is a good thing, I think.
Mr. Bird was upset that I woke him up.

did you really wake him up!?!!? that’s not a good thing! it’s a bad thing! you’re a bad thing!
I think he was just sleeping standing up right after the gig. He was OK, really. :)
Aw, that’s a good idea! I wish I had thought of that when I tried to talk to him after his concert here in Portugal.
Nice idea!
I always feel like that when meeting people whose music I care about. I drew Andrew a comic and asked him to draw something in my notepad in exchange…
