Looking up the stairwell

Saturday night at the EPB meet Mr. Flatline led us to this crazy building that’s been squatted for a long time. Apparently after the wall fell neither East or West wanted to take responsibility for this specific area. As a result it fell apart a bit and was squatted. These days there appears to be some sense of law: there are fire doors and the windows are (mostly) fixed up so that people don’t fall out anymore, and the building itself houses some galleries and bars.

This is a view up the main stairwell of the five-floor building. Paul has a view down (with my shoes in the corner of the shot, I think).
