A recent question about how to take photos of drummers reminded me of the best one I ever got, and then I realized I never posted it. This is John Moen of the Decemberists. How’d I get this close? Well, the entire gig was insane, and when Colin started pulling people on stage I was sure to be in the front to get on as well. There I was dancing away, and there was John, beating the skins like the madman he is. Time for a quick photo!
