Yesterday was my official last day at my old job. Say what you will about computer geeks, but we’re a creative bunch. A bunch of cans and a monkey, and minutes later, voila! Metal Monkey on his throne. Some of the keepsakes I took include extremely strong magnets (extracted from hard drives) and a hard drive with its platters extracted and re-attached on the outside. Still curious what would happen if you tried to power it up…

I thought the new adventure would start on Friday (and what better day to meet your new colleagues than on a Friday when everyone is in good spirits?) but I was told today not to show up til Monday. Can’t complain, I suppose. Long weekend, yay!
