Just got back from Moscow two days ago and I’m mostly done recovering. The city is pretty extreme in all respects, which makes it difficult to fully relax. On the other hand, the people I met were all so immensely friendly that I felt at home right away, even in the cases where communication was limited to waving hands and interpretive dance. Fortunately by the end of the week I could follow conversations in Russian pretty well, even if more than half of that understanding came from body language. Highly recommended, but only if you can find a local guide. :)
This is S., me, N., M. and E. We got home at around 7:30, having missed the last metro. Fortunately there are a few places that serve beer 24 hours.
